World Cup Fever

So, who’s been watching the World Cup?

Admittedly, I probably won’t be watching it as much, now that England have been thrashed by Germany, but I might catch up on it once in a while. I don’t know what it is about the World Cup but even those who don’t know jacksh*t about football or don’t even like it are being swept by the mania that is the World Cup. I mean, take me for example – I know absolutely diddlysquat about football but when the England vs. Slovenia game came around, I sat there shouting at my TV screen like there was no tomorrow.

Personally, I thought the England team had too much pressure on them. I mean practically everyone was like, “You HAVE to win it! You HAVE too,” and in the end, did they? Nope. I bet most England fans are blaming the manager, Fabio Capello, but excuse me – at the end of the day who is the one playing? Not the manager.

The headlines on the newspaper are really harsh this morning with one stating the team “Let their country down”. Way to push the team’s spirits lower than they already are! Jheeze. Some England fans are acting as if the Queen or someone equally as important (although, I don’t think the Queen is all that important because come to think of it what does she do?) has died. :

Anyway, moving on – my dress for my 18th arrived from the Philippines the other day. It is so beautiful. Seriously. I’ll show you guys a picture later on. I need to lose weight though :< The dress fits but it’s a little tight. -Sigh. I’ve already started exercising – and I’ve got to say I’m pretty motivated ๐Ÿ™‚ For the past couple of days I’ve been doing 25 minutes in the morning and evening – I forgot what the machine I use is called but it’s really useful. I can feel the burn! I’ve also got my mum to get Wii Fit Plus – I’m going to pay her back in installments, so all is good. I am fully determined to fit into that dress, haha.

Wireless this Friday!ย I didn’t get the BBC work experience ๐Ÿ™ But I’m still searching! I also have two new affies, Aashni and Nancy! Woot ๐Ÿ™‚

The World Cup is still going on. I’ve heard a lot about it but don’t have any interest in watching. It’s soccer right..that’s what we’d call it in America but I noticed you said Football and they are two completely different sports here.

They did put WAY too much pressure on England and that’s probably exactly why they lost. Too many people were counting on them and that’s already got them down so why would they go and put that on the headlines…people are soo inconsiderate.

Now that you mention it, WHAT DOES THE QUEEN do. Hmph, I wish I was royalty and had the priviledge of sitting around doing nothing.

Your right. Your always right. We’re back friends though and I HOPE they don’t get married. I don’t care how nice the bitch is, I don’t like her but hey, he doesn’t like my boyfriend either. I guess we just won’t be attending each others’ weddings, it’s fair enough.

Well I’m a girl too so my mood swings are ok too.

I don`t really like how the people are taking these games too seriously. Life is more than a world cup that comes every four years :P. Though USA already lost :P. Ahhh! Hope you`ll have lots of fun on your 18th ;D! Good luck with your goal!

Lol same, I was only interested in the World Cup because Iwanted England to win; now I’ve lost most of my interest xD Buttt! I’m rooting for Ghana now ^_^ They’re the only African team left, so I think it’ll be good if they won.

Lol same, again. I usually don’t care about football at all but I’ve been getting excited for the match and shouting at the screan xP

The England team really did play absolutely shite. I think they had no confidence, probably, like you said, because of all the hype & pressure.

I hope you’ll forgive me but I skipped over the paragraphs about the World Cup. I’ve never watched it before. I’ve heard a lot about it but it never really interested me.

Exercise! It feels amazing doesn’t it? I need to get outside and ride my bike. I can’t wait to see a photo of the dress =]

I did’t watch the World Cup at all, as I’m not into soccer. ^^”

Anyway, that’s good that you feel motivated to exercise. ๐Ÿ™‚ Not just for the dress, but because it’s healthy, you know. And it’s stress-relieving.

Hope you’ve been well during this time that I haven’t been online, my friend. I really had no chances to get on for a long while.

I love that little picture in your sidebar. Did you create that? It’s pretty. ๐Ÿ˜€

I can’t read much about your blog. I can’t say I particularly engage in the World Cup frenzy. I just listen to everyone else’s gab about it. I don’t engage in it though. I’ll cheer when you tell me to, that’s it. Haha. Besides, the US lost to .. Uganda? Yeah, so there I’m done. ๐Ÿ˜€
