Well…

ARGH!
Well, this is embarrassing. I haven’t blogged since… 9th October. It is now the 22nd. You could say that I took an unexpected hiatus. Without telling you guys. Sooooo sorry.

1. I have a life; so that may seem quite rude to put it out there but *shock, horror* yes, I DO have a life. Haha.
2. School is the bane of my existence. Applying for university will be the death of me, I bloody hate UCAS.
3. I’ve been very distracted because they’ve started subbing a Taiwanese drama called “Autumn’s Concerto” on YouTube.
4. Honestly, I really am sorry I left you guys hanging. All these social networks keep tugging me away. If you follow me on Twitter… be warned, I tweet on a daily basis. I talk too much for my own good.

So, what’s been happening since my last post? NOTHING. Well, okay not nothing as per say but nothing socially. My social life is dead. My school life is overruling it and it makes me very sad. Basically, over here in the UK you have to apply through UCAS (Universities & Colleges Admissions Service) to get into university. You basically have 5 choices and then when your application gets submitted you have to choose one firm choice (where you most definitely want to go) and an insurance choice (if you don’t get into your firm choice then this is the fall back). The application form is easy to fill out and all of that, it’s just the personal statement. I feel like crying every time someone mentions the words “personal” and “statement”. Plus, because I’m the BIGGEST procrastinator you’ll ever meet – I have just handed in my first draft for pstate on Tuesday when the deadline is on Friday. MY FIRST DRAFT. How am I going to cope with university if I can’t even manage deadlines, at the moment? *dies*

Journalism courses are very hard to get into but I’m feeling very optimistic. Well, I have to be – otherwise if I’m being pessimistic where is that going to get me in life? I went to visit UCA (University for the Creative Arts) yesterday which is in Farnham, Surrey. I sort of experienced a culture shock. Coming from the city, London, where I’m used to seeing all types of people and it being diverse and all… I really was kind of shocked at the way people looked at my mum and I when we went for the Open Day. I’ve been to the countryside before (my Lola’s (grandma) brother lives in Worcestershire) but when I went the people were still friendly. The people in Farnham (it’s predominantly white) weren’t really welcoming… well, that’s how it felt anyway. I feel really uncomfortable but stayed for the Journalism talk because I didn’t want my mum to feel she wasted her money on the tickets, plus train tickets are extortionate. I like the Journalism course itself because it deals with the new media: eMedia, web design, etc. which is something I’m sort of doing in Media Studies now but I did not like the two guys who presented the talk… they seemed really stuck up, to me. After the talk, my mum and I left immediately. You will never understand how relieved I was to be back in London. I had a smile on my face as we pulled into the platform. Oh, and apparently newspapers will be dead in the next 15 years. Right…

There was a upside to leaving the Open Day early… mother bought me new boots! I have mentioned in a post *yonks* ago that I’m going to Rome… THIS SATURDAY! *mentally freaks out with excitement* I got some new Skechers boots… I didn’t know Skechers made boots, I thought it was only trainers and those Skecher’s ShapeUps but I really do love my new boots. Mum also bought me some clothes for the holiday and stuff… I know I need these things but mum was being quite generous. She got a bit trigger happy with her card. Aha. [click here to see my boots]

I guess this time I will be taking an expected hiatus. I’ll be away from the 24th of October and I’m coming back the 31st of October (Halloween!). I promise to take millions of pictures, etc. etc. There may also be a video… if I can find my cable.

Today and tomorrow are going to be very hectic for me because:

1. I need to buy my SFX magazine. [here] Doctor Who ♥
2. I need to complete my pstate. All of it.
3. I need to finish packing.
4. I still need to get more money out for this holiday… I’m so glad I gave my mum my debit card otherwise I would have no money for this holiday. Paha.
5. Need. To. Iron. GAH.

Chynna x

PS. I watched “When I Meet U” starring KC Concepcion and Richard Gutierrez (who is utterly divine) yesterday. I love Filipino films. They are so full of cheese that you could practically make a sandwich with them… but they still make me smile. :’)

Life seeems so busy for you. I’ve missed your random comments :/ But life does call. ^^ It’s great to hear from you (: Although I do see you on Twitter haha.

No problem about MSN. ^^ You can always talk to me through Facebook. Not the chat… facebook. I hate FB chat.

MLK is my hero too and I’m only black in spirit (: Haha, people use his speech because it was inspirational and still is.. as long as you don’t claim it as your own, that’s CHEATING (plagerism) xD

Wow, an 11 year old boy? Slicing open.. that’s mean. Really, that’s just terrible. Racism hurts.

That’s a good reason. But some people, although brought up to choose nonviolence choose violence when it comes down to it… it’s really hard to say because we aren’t in situations that would make us choose but there are small day to day situations in which you do have a choice (: So yeah… I feel philosophical today. Excuse me. xP

    Yay for another badge (:

goodluck at applying for a university, i don’t actually understand how you apply in a university because its more complicated than here in the philippines ^__^~*

yup filipino films are very cheesy, i love cheese, but i’m tired of seeing filipino films -__- maybe because i’m getting used of the same story being repeated all over again in every movie 😛

    Hey,
    Long time no comment.
You’re going to ROME!!! I am so jealous. I am going nowhere.
I know what you mean about school…I have 3 pieces of homework (one of which is an entire project) to complete over half term. How can I cope?
But yeah, it all just piles on top of you.
Anyway, I hope you get into the uni you want to.
Unlike you, I don’t have a life – it’s too packed up with work.
David Tennant is on the Sarah Jane Adventures this week, so I NEED to watch them, but I keep missing it.
I watched State of Play last night – it wasn’t cheesy – it was kind of strange though, but quite good.
Sorry, this comment has been a bit jumpy and non-sensical (and quick), but comment later again. xx
    Soph

    p.s
    enjoy roma!!

Wow, it seems like it’s a whole lot more complicated simply getting into university over there. Hopefully you’ll do well! 🙂 (Web design.. *drool.)

And I’m sorry for not visiting for so long! :O
