The blog has been found. The blog has been found. Abort mission. ABORT MISSION. Joking, of course. One of the guys in the group found my blog but you know, surprisingly, I’m okay with that (partially because I know who it is, and he’s cool. Cool. Cool, cool, cool. (Damn, I watch too much TV)) so everything can go to being as normal as things can be.
In other news, we have made the transfer to the student dorms. It’s nice enough, I suppose, but I do miss the queen size beds and the big bathroom. The shower literally has no divider so you’re showering next to the toilet. Honestly, I don’t know how I feel about that. It’s an interesting experience, to say the least.
About the Paralympic Games, you probably already know this but it’s not just in China like I made it seem but I’m just stupid like that and totally forgot that it’s universal. Good God, how embarrassing. So, ignore everything I wrote about it just being in China and just kid yourself that I’m really smart and all that jazz.
We had two lessons today even though it’s Sunday but only because we didn’t have lessons on Tuesday and Wednesday, had to wake up at 6.30AM well actually I didn’t but that’s the time I automatically woke up which is WEIRD because I never wake up that early. Plus, I stepped out onto the balcony and it was well cold outside. Brr. I meant I like the early morning lesson I just wish it wasn’t so early – an hour or two later would be perfectly time. We got back to the dorms and promptly took a two hour nap. It was heaven.
When I’m in my evening lessons, I feel like I’m back in Yr 12/13 in my Classics lesson where we had to learn about Greek mythology and architecture in Greeks times, statues and all of that except it’s Chinese philosophy and dates of the different dynasties and it’s just so tedious and boring. I mean don’t get me wrong, I loved Classics and this lesson is alright but when it’s 2 hours in the evening and the teacher has a monotonous voice and says, “Yeah, yeah, yeah” all the time, I can’t help but notice my bum going numb and me nearly falling asleep.
In unrelated Chinese news, I’ve been watching Community which is riddled with so many TV and film references I want to cry with joy. It’s basically about a bunch of misfits who go to community college and what happens in their day-to-day life – I know, I make it sound uninteresting but I promise you, it’s hilarious. I mean, when they reference the Breakfast Club it’s got to be awesome, right? I love that film. We have to do a public speech in our Interpersonal Communications class about ourselves, I think, I’ve no idea what I’m going to say because I hate speaking in public but I got to suck it up and do it anyways. I might do it on TV because I watch a lot of crap and that’s the only thing about me that I can talk for 10 minutes about. We’ll see.
