There’s no place I can be / Since I’ve found Serenity

I had a post that I wrote at like 2AM the other morning but I’m too embarrassed to post it. Maybe another time, eh?

So, some of you might now that San Diego Comic-Con is on this July from the 12th – 15th. *insert angry rant about not being at Comic-Con* For those of you that don’t know what Comic-Con is (shame on you), it’s an annual convention that showcases things like comic books, science-fiction/fantasy, film/television, anime, manga, etc. To put it simply: a geek’s heaven.

The reason why IΒ reallyΒ want to be at Comic-Con this year, however, is because on Friday they’re holding a Firefly 10th Anniversary Reunion Panel. When I found out I was literally sobbing because Firefly is one of my favourite TV shows. It sucks that it only ran for one season but that one season was freaking amazing. And now they’re going to be reunited after 10 years and I WON’T BE THERE.

I vow that one day I will go to Comic-Con. I will.

In other news, I still don’t have a job. Nothing new there, then. Also, I’m still waiting to get paid for my articles and get the go ahead to write the rest of them. I’m tired of sitting around and waiting. I hate waiting in general. Like when I’m waiting for any packages, I’m always just willing the days to go by faster so that it can just come already. I clearly order too many things. I don’t know if I showed you guys, if you follow me on Tumblr then you might already know, but my ‘Troy & Abed in the morning!’ t-shirt arrived a few weeks ago. Absolutely love it! I’m contemplating buying more Community t-shirts because the show is just that awesome.

If you’re able to afford your own domain, you can buy one for $1 at Namecheap! That’s how Kelsey’s able to buy domains for people. The deal’s on the 15th this month, I think.

I’ve never seen Doctor Who… lol.
It’s not that you’re picky. You just have certain preferences that are well liked over others LOL.

Haha, I’ll follow you on Twitter right now. πŸ™‚ My username’s @meaghanme0w.

You live in San Diego!? My cousin goes to the state college there.
I’ve never been to Comic-Con & I don’t think I ever will. I’m not into all that sci-fi stuff, unless you count Misfits (UK show) as one!

I’ve never heard of Firefly. πŸ™ I feel like I’m so out of the loop!

I don’t have a job either! I applied to a place in the mall that is a beauty supply store, mostly hair products, but they haven’t called me back! I turned in my application on Sunday. πŸ™ Sigh, I really want that job!
I hate waiting too. Especially for packages, tests, etc.

What’s Troy & Abed? I’ve never watched Doctor Who… so if it’s a Doctor Who reference, sorry! πŸ˜›

San Diego is just a couple of miles away from Los Angeles! I always think Comic Con tops off Anime Expo (It’s like the united states going at war with asia XD). I heard a lot of Marvel things are going on at Comic Con! I’m sure one day, you will attend Comic Con, not just once but several times. You have plenty more to look forward to!

For the time being, hopefully you’re relaxing yourself from the university stress. Good luck with finding a job still! Hang in there and keep pushing for those articles to be paid! Don’t always expect success, but work for it. I love how vintage-like your shirt is :)!

I’m sure I will have fun at Camp. Don’t worry about the little typo there ;)! Meeting new people is awesome! And yes, $12 a night for wifi is ridiculous, but we’re talking about Las Vegas!

When you’re talking about best friend, that’s a whole different story! When you have been through a lot with someone (in a positive experience), you can call them your best friend! I guess I’m just pooped because of that situation I told you about in my previous comment. I think it’s terrible, but if “I caused any drama” at that time, I wouldn’t enjoy the rest of the school year.. As much since I’m stuck sitting next to that person in 2 of my main classes.

    Take care :)!

I havent been on any camps yet.. But the comic con sounds fun.. hmm maybe there’s still next time and I know you wont miss it again πŸ™ I haven’t seen firefly yet but maybe i should since im kinda curious.. lol

I know that waiting sucks.. but you’ve gotta be patient .. maybe that paid article for you is on its way..

Don’t worry. You’ll be able to attend the Comic-con event soon. Maybe not now but you soon it will eventually happen. Positive ideas results to a positive outcome. I’m pretty sure the payment for your paid articles will arrive just in time. Btw, I followed you on tumblr. My UN is therottendoll. Have a great day Chynna! God Bless.

i heard lots of great things about that show but i never got the chance to actually watch it! it sucks that you won’t be able to go to comic-con ;( hopefully someone will record it and put it on youtube!

yea, the economy is pretty tough lately. don’t give up! it was so difficult for me to find a p/t time desk job and i was unemployed for an entire semester of college…but i was persistent and i managed to get this awesome job (which is where i am at the moment!) so I really wish you the best! you go girllllllllll!

I’ve never been to a comic con before or an anime con or any con’s out there LOL I’m not outgoing πŸ™ But I know people who goes to comic con and comes back with A LOT of free stuff!

I’ve never seen Firefly, but I’m interested to see it. Weird how it’s only one season, though. Don’t worry, there’s always hope that they’ll do a reunion again πŸ™‚
