Happy Thursday, fellow bloggers!
It has been a week since I last blogged and within that week things haven’t changed much. I have still yet to find any work experience, and I am meant to be starting it in April. It kind of worries me but there’s nothing I can do but sit around and wait to hear back from the places that I applied to. My uncle has a friend who works at Sky and they emailed me asking what kind of experience I was looking for and if I could send my CV but so far, no replies back from the email I sent them. If I can get experience at Sky, it would be awesome but all I can do is wait I guess.
The job search is also on hold because I have to look for this elusive work experience but once I start looking, I’m hoping to get a job straight away. It’d be awesome to have a job during Easter and after I finish university in June because then I can just work, work, work and save my money to go on holiday! Fingers crossed my plan works out.
I still have my two classes: Capturing the Creative Spark and Mandarin. The CCS one is part of my degree and I have to do it otherwise I fail my degree which is a bit silly but hey-ho that’s my university for you. I suppose the class is okay – it’s basically how people come up with original ideas. Our brief is to come up with five ideas of our own as well as doing this 43 question quiz. Sigh. I’m really enjoying Mandarin, though, that’s not compulsory. It’s usually £60 a class but we got it for free because we went to China. The teacher is so sweet, and she teaches really well. I feel like I’m learning more Chinese here than I did when I was actually in China. If we had this class before we went to China, I think we wouldn’t have struggled as much during the first couple of weeks. Ah, well.
I almost forgot to mention that I got my results back from the coursework I was stressing over the other time! I got 66% – which isn’t too bad considering I pulled it out the bag the day/morning before it was due in. In terms of university marking that’s a 2:1, just below a first! Hopefully in my other piece of coursework I’ve gotten a first. Fingers crossed!
I had a weird dream last night. I heard really loud knocking on my door that it woke me up but when I went to the door there was nobody there. It creeped me out a bit, I must say. I decided to research about knocking in dreams and found out that it could mean a new opportunity may arise for me or that I might be paying too much attention to a trivial matter and ignoring something that is more important or more urgent. I suppose this kind of ring trues because there is something that I am paying too much attention too that it’s making me not focus on stuff for university but hopefully it will be sorted tomorrow. I can’t really say what it is but it has something to do with password-protected post the other day. Once this thing is off my shoulders hopefully my dreams will go back to normal because that knocking was demanding and freaked me out.
