Here it is! The post from school.
Do you understand how long I’ve wanted to write a blog from the school computer? I can finally say… Hey guys, I’m currently blogging from school. Gah, I am such a geek 🙂
Sorry for the long delay in blog posts but once again school life has taken over my online life. I fear my online life will dither and fail. I’m going to try and keep up with blogs from now on because I don’t want to neglect this blog or you guys who actually read it.
So, what’s been happening since the last blog? As you know, the last blog was filled of pictures from my week trip to Rome. Did you enjoy them? I really want to go back to Rome now because the weather is really shitty over here. Because it’s coming up to Christmas time the weather is turning colder and foggier. Not a good look at all. I’m glad I’m kitted out for winter already though: boots, gloves, scarf, hat, coat. Mummy was kind enough to order my coat from Littlewoods and she bought me my boots from Schuh. I think I may have posted a picture on the site. Basically what’s been happening since the last blog is the same that usually happens. Bloody UCAS. Yes, I am STILL doing my UCAS application. I am the slowest person you will ever meet. It’s a surprise I can even read a thick book in one sitting but can’t even complete like a personal statement. I still have to get my reference from work but they are so long and want my teacher to phone them to ask for the reference. So that’s another delay in sending off my UCAS. Well, also the fact that I’m a procrastinator. It’s not a good look.
Other than school life, I haven’t been up to much apart from obsessively obsessing over David Tennant and Doctor Who. I was up since 5.30AM this morning because David Tennant is co-hosting Christian O’Connell’s breakfast from today until Friday from 6 until 10AM. Tomorrow my lesson isn’t until lunchtime, so therefore I get to wake up early to listen to him and watch him on the web cam that’s in the studio. That sounds really stalker-ish doesn’t it? Ah well… Doctor Who is airing this Sunday at 7PM. I AM SO EXCITED, YOU DON’T EVEN UNDERSTAND. I’m really sad David’s leaving though, I don’t think Doctor Who will be at the same caliber now that he’s leaving the show. He hasn’t left the show yet but in terms of filming and stuff he’s finished all of that. People ask me why do I obsess over Doctor Who/David Tennant so much, I could easily counter that question with why do people obsess over Twilight/Robert Pattinson so much (if it were one of my friends asking me). To be honest, David Tennant could wipe the floor clean with Robert Pattinson. Not only is he better in his acting skills but he also WAY better looking. Let’s just say I like tall, skinny men with spiky hair and who carry around a sonic screwdriver.
More on Doctor Who (I know, I know… you must be sick of it by now), I get to study it for my coursework in Media Studies. It’s an independent study and I thought I might as well do it on something I’m interested in otherwise my coursework wouldn’t be so good if I wasn’t that into it. Basically, I’m looking at the exploration of how women are portrayed in science fiction. Specifically, the role of female helper or the heroine. Because the Doctor always has a female companion or “helper” this is one of the main texts I’m going to be discussing. This an opportune chance for me to watch Doctor Who in lessons without being told off, and also read my Doctor Who magazine (the new issue comes out November 14th!) and SFX magazine. Okay, so I think I’ll move on from Doctor Who now as I know most of readers don’t even watch it.. ha.
I really to go now as I need to do some Classics work, work some more on my pstate, get a head start on a case study I’m doing for Media and start on an essay for English.
PS. Doctor Who: The Water of Mars countdown – November 15th.
