EDIT: I don’t know, I feel like I had more to write yet I don’t know what to write now : Mutay’s site is back up, after what seemed like ages for restoring her WordPress database and transferring the files via FTP. S finally came online this morning; we only had a short chat because he was tired – it being like 1 in the morning over there – but still, I am happy. Weird, how a short conversation can make me THAT happy. Mutay keeps spouting about “Love is in the air” and now, I swear, most couples she sees reminds her of S and I. Aha. I also want a new layout, really badly, so be expecting on to pop up some time soon. I’m off to read some of my English books and then probably watch a DVD 🙂
I had to find a new host. Rigrag suddenly closed down and I was practically panicking because I thought I had lost all my files. Luckily, they made backups, which I was able to get (for a small fee T_T) and transfer them over to my new host, Rewindhost.
I’m not going to bash Rigrag because they have actually been very good hosts – no server downtime, good customer support, etc. – but I hate the way they just unexpectedly shut down. I was looking on Twitter and it was suddenly like “RIGRAG HAS CLOSED DOWN”. Oh, well thanks for leaving me enough time to get myself together.
So, that’s why my site has been down the past couple of days. I’ve been itching to blog despite the fact that I have nothing to blog about… I’m currently in the process of bringing back Mutay’s site. But it’s giving me hell on earth right now and it’s currently 11:54PM as I type this and I should really go to sleep right. I don’t know why I’m still up… maybe the fact that a certain someone hasn’t been online since Saturday morning, is kind of bugging me. Whatever.
I worked 4 days last week (Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday) and I actually rate people who work everyday. Granted, I’m obviously going to be one of those people when I’m older but I’d rather not think about that right now. Anyway, my bank balance is now in a healthier state and I also picked up my new glasses today. After like months of putting off getting new glasses, I finally booked an appointment to the opticians. My prescription got worse and I had to pay £90 for my glasses but… I CAN SEE CLEARLY, NOW! The pair I chose was originally £119 but because I’m a student I got £29 off. Which, I guess, is better than nothing.
My hay fever is starting to arise. I will now have fun squirting hay fever medicine up my nose and taking Piriton and generally just sounding extremely snotty. Lovely.
Second episode of Doctor Who? Loved it. I love the futuristic queen, “I’m the bloody queen, mate. Basically, I rule.” Something I think that her Majesty should say when opening Parliament. Matt Smith is turning out to be a bit of a joker, too. Still, Daleks next week. Will those buggers ever die?!
PS. Remember my ditch-attempt at sci-fi fiction? Well, I’ve revived that ditch-attempt and have written chapter 3 of that story that was written ohso long ago! Read here; Chapter 3.
