i’ve always wanted a red nose

10 days until it will officially be 2 years of me being in the blogosphere! Hurrah :]

Hello! How are you all? The start of my week has been less hectic than last which I am very glad of. Here’s a breakdown of my weekend and past two days.

Saturday was spent hanging out with Rob because we haven’t had a chance to hand out fully because we’ve both been busy with university and such things. It was nice just chilling with him. We went to town because I wanted find some postcards (more on that later in the post!) and get a birthday card for a uncle (Feb. 19th!) and then we went to this place called Triumph Place where loads of new flats were built. We wanted to look there for a place to live but the concierge who deals with whether there are any places to rent, etc. wasn’t there because it was the weekend but Rob’s friend lives there and we went to visit him. Oh my gosh. His place is AMAZING. He’s pay Β£850 a month, though, so it’s gonna be amazing, isn’t it? But, still! My mouth dropped open as soon as I saw the place. I could totally see myself living there if it wasn’t so expensive but according to Rob, the cheaper places are nice as well although not as nice. The living room was flipping MASSIVE and the kitchen made the one we have at ours look soddy! Haha.

Sunday was another relaxation day. I lazed around pretty much, watching TV and reading a little bit.

Monday was such a LONG day. Rob was supposed to meet me at eleven so we could do some house hunting but his alarm didn’t go off and I was in town waiting for two hours for him. Ridiculous, right? I was steaming. BUT… he bought me flowers when he finally arrived. So, I gushed and swooned and he was immediately forgiven. Haha πŸ™‚ I’m such a mush. We ended skipping out on house hunting because we were both very tired and just wondered around town (AGAIN) for a bit. I then went to Brogan’s in the evening and ordered Nandos (1/2 chicken, chips and garlic bread for me) as a late birthday thing for her and we watched Glee (Rocky Horror episode) and then Tool Academy πŸ˜€ Twas a fun night!

Yesterday, I had a lecture but it wasn’t too long so I didn’t feel so tired like I usually do for my Thursday lectures which are just way too long! We have to do a presentation next week which is “Using the example of a major world conflict or event that has happened over the last ten years analyse how de Certeau’s concepts of strategies and tactics can be used to understand the roles ad functions of the internet and open/social media within this event.” We’ve decided to choose the capture of Saddam Hussein and analyse how people used the internet to have it displayed easily and quickly to people outside the country, etc. Should be interesting but it’s going to be so long to research as well (cry)

Ah, about the postcards! Becca mentioned in her post about www.postcrossing.com wherein you can send and receive postcards from all over the world. Basically you request an address after you register and then you send postcard to that address. You also get a code that the person needs to register for it to be shown that you have sent that postcard. I sent five postcards on Monday and already the one I sent to Germany has been received. The person who received it sent me a message saying she really liked the postcard I sent her. I can’t wait to send more – I have one to send tomorrow, actually. Will definitely post a picture when I receive my first postcard πŸ˜€

I bought my Red Nose today. It’s for Red Nose Day, 18th March, which is “Comic Relief is a charity which was founded in the United Kingdom in 1985 by the comedy scriptwriter Richard Curtis and Alexander Mendis in response to famine in Ethiopia. The highlight of Comic Relief’s appeal is Red Nose Day, a biennial telethon held in March.” Can’t wait! There are three noses to collect: Honkus, Captain Conk & Chucklechomp. I have Chucklechomp πŸ™‚

Day 24: When you look outside step outside your front door of the house, what do you see? picture if you like

You can’t really see but this is the back door to the shop I live above (classy, I know!). :]

What are you guys doing for Valentine’s day?

Thursday’s lessons are long for me too. I have no free time
all day. It’s a killer! The postcard website sounds so awesome. I’m
going to take a look at it right now πŸ™‚ I want a red nose!! I try
to buy one every year comic relief is on.

Happy early two year anniversary! That’s awesome. πŸ˜€ Ooh,
good luck finding a place to live! That guys house sounds awesome.
It isn’t oo expensive, either! Relaxation days are the best ones,
in my opinion. Ah, sorry Rob was late. D: I bet that wasn’t fun! I
know I have slept through an alarm before so it’s not really his
fault. I would still be mad, though. Hehe, flowers make everything
better! I’m glad your lecture didn’t seem too long! I dislike it
when classes just keep dragging on for what seems like forever…
Good luck on the presentation! That seems really interesting but it
probably will be pretty difficult to research. Oh yeah, I have
heard about that website! It seems pretty cool. I hope you enjoy
receiving the postcards! Aw, that red nose thing is cute! :3 I’m
not doing anything for Valentine’s Day. Just homework! — Thanks
so much! Yeah, it might get boring after a while to be able to blog
only about one thing. Sorry for any spelling errors! Your comment
box is too wide so I can’t see the right side of it. D:

Thanks Chynna! I’ll still be commenting on your blogs, of course. (: No worries!

Aw, I would totally be very forgiving too if my boyfriend
got me flowers. I’m such a sucker for romantic things like that, so
    I don’t blame you. πŸ˜› OH! You’re doing postcrossings? That’s
awesome! You’re already like five steps ahead of me. I’m really
planning on doing it, I just haven’t got postcards yet. πŸ˜› I
actually keep forgetting to, but I’ll do it eventually! I’ve been
super busy, so hopefully tomorrow I can drop by a store and buy
some! You’ll have to post pictures when you get your first
    one.

OMG these are beautiful flowers. I would have reacted exactly the way you did. On Rose Day, my boyfriend got me two perfect roses and I kept on exclaiming, “Oh my Gosh! Nobody has ever given me flowers,” and he’d say, “I know” and I’d exclaim again.
    Red Nose Day. Hmm. Interesting.

I wonder if I did reply to your comment before :O! If I didn`t, I`m so sorry D’:!

Seems like you have had an awesome weekend with Rob :P! I hate how some places are expensive because it`s pretty πŸ˜› but that`s how life is! You gotta pay more for that luxury suite :P! Happy early birthday to your uncle as well ^__^!

Oooh that postcard exchange site seems awesome :D! I want to share postcards to the world :P! Post cards are not that expensive anyways πŸ˜› What i`m scared of.. Is that what if something bad happens cause of that? :O! :P! And my parents are too protective D:!

Awwwwww! Thats sooooo sweet! Looks like you two are getting
along VERY well. Totally envy ya girl:P Some places are just so
expensive…but you are guranteed they are going to be high-class
and uber pretty!!!! ^^ I have never ever bought a red nose before,
lol! xD :L I’ve never worn one before either, it sucks. What are
you guys doing for Valentine’s day? I’m doing nothing. Going to
school then coming back home to do homework. Aiyo.

Yes, she knows that I like that guy. πŸ™

Those roses look great. Did you ask Rob how come he is so late? Cause it is not very good for a boyfriend to be that late for dates. >.<

Awww, you and Rob are sooo cute? You guys must be serious if your looking for a place to live.

Red Nose Day sounds cooool. I’ve never heard of it!

The postcard thing sounds cool but it’s a bit confusing. Do the postcards actually go to the person’s house or is it an online thing? AND the addresses that gets registered to you, it’s only for people who have entered their address to be registered right? I think it’s be pretty weird if I just got a postcard randomly sent to me out of no where.

BTW, thanks for the recipes! I haven’t got around to trying them yet. I’ve been so busy.
