I swear I do more than just sit at home.

Well, I did have toast when I started this post but I kinda paused mid-sentence and munched it down – so, now, I only have tea.

Do you know the benefits of working from home? A lot. I don’t have to wake up early to get a bus/train anywhere. I don’t have to spend money on said travel. I don’t have to worry about annoying supervisors that boss you about on the shop floor. I kind of could see myself working from home but then again, I don’t know what I’d be doing. Maybe because it’s the summer holidays, so I’m feeling spectacularly lazy. I got an email from my boss the other day, and I’m getting paid either Tuesday or Wednesday. *insert impromptu dance number here*

It was my friend’s birthday on Thursday but she had her birthday bash yesterday and it was pretty good. We had dinner at her house with her friends and family except me and Mutay kind of turned up super late. Her mum was sweet though, and still fed us. Her cake was really nice, as well. Unfortunately, I can’t eat cake because of allergies but still – it looked awesome and if I could eat it, I’d be ALL over that. We went clubbing after but nothing special happened there, ha.

Me and Mutay got caught in rain on our way to our friend’s house which was ridiculous. British summer is pretty much non-existent. It has rained everyday this past week. Last night it was just pouring and all I had on was a button-up blouse, a black skirt and my flats. My feet got soaked. We were wading through rivers to get to the busstop. Gotta love Britain, eh?

Had an enlightening conversation with Mutay yesterday as well, which was nice and revealed a lot of things. It’s nice to have a best friend who you can just tell everything too like your worries for the future, relationships, general stuff, etc.

I started a new TV show the other day, Suits, and already I’ve finished the first series. It is so good. Basically this guy, Mike Ross, gets hired by a law firm even though he doesn’t have a law degree or even went to university. He does have an eidetic memory (photographic memory), though, so he basically got the position from the guy who interviewed him, Harvey Spector, because of that. I didn’t think I’d like it at first but it is so funny and you get to know a little more about law firms and lawyers, etc. (Although, I do watch Law & Order: SVU, so.) Plus, it’s got Gina Torres who plays Zoe in Firefly and her character is freaking badass. I love her.

Now, I have to wait for an episode per week because they only just started airing series 2. I hate when that happens. In the meantime, I decided to start Game of Thrones to see what all the fuss was about. It’s good so far – watched five episodes and got 5 left in the series. The amount of nudity, violence and blood is… Well. Still. Can’t wait to see where it goes. I like me a bit of fantasy.

I’m thinking of doing live-blogs and then posting them on here because I make so many comments when I’m watching a TV show and I usually end up shouting them at my laptop screen which annoys my mum because she’s always telling me to shut up. Ha.

Also, I’m thinking of holding a book contest. Giving away two free books (worldwide). What do you guys think?

lol it’s probably nice working from home… but I’m in my cubicle at work right now as I write this comment haha… shhh don’t tell anyone!

Don’t be dissing the rain!! I’d love to live there. I find rain so relaxing… it helps me focus and get a lot done!! XD

Suits sounds like a good show, but I’m more of a sci-fi person… throw some aliens or time travel in there and maybe I’ll watch…. I came across a show called Fallen Skies and, like you, I had the first season done in a matter of days. I hate having to wait for new episodes now. TORTURE!!

I can imagine how working from home can be a joy, especially if you like your job, plus saving a few quids on train/bus fare. Think of what you can do with all that extra money!

I don’t think I’d function well with a home office. I bet I’d eventually “bring the work home” by always working and thus not knowing where the line between work and home goes..

The episodes of Game of Thrones are about an hour long each, right? Watching five episodes isn’t an easy task, so kudos to you. I never got around to watch the first episode, because I only had 30 minutes to spare, and I didn’t want to cut off right in the middle of the episode. 🙁 Dilemma, dilemma.

In reply to your comment: I also thought it was pretty, which is why I bought it from this lady’s tiny shop.

I am so jealous that you work from home. I wish I could do something liek that… 🙁

Happy birthday to your friend! I don’t eat cake either… but not because of allergies. But because it makes me really thirsty. 😛 It sounds lame, but yeah. I don’t like eating sweet things, except for chocolate. And pink Starbursts.

I love when it rains! But I’d probably hate it if it did that every single day.

Is Suits a US or UK show? I prefer UK shows. 🙂

Definitely do live blogs! And I’d love to know more about the books you’re giving away!

I think I would get so lazy if I worked from home. But I guess as long as you get the work done that you need to get done, then you can be as lazy as you want to.

A live blog post sounds interesting. I’d like to see how that turns out.

I’m such a fan of suits 🙂 God knows how crazy I am over Harvey inspector that I even want to change my 2 year old son’s name to Gabriel (Harvey in real life) he is soooo hot (lol). Plus the best thing I like about the characters there is they are sooo smart. And very interesting for me. Law stuffs and all that. I wish I can watch that he every week without having to download in on the web.lol
