I always seem to say sorry, nowadays.

Once again, I have dropped off the face of the blogosphere and for that I apologise. I don’t really have any excuses – I’m just really lazy. There have been times where I’ve wanted to blog but I was just like, “It’s cool, there’s always tomorrow.” So, what have I been up to since my last post?

I have officially finished my second year of university. Sh*t just got real, yo. I am going into my third and final year of university. Do you know how scary that is? VERY. Why? Because when I finish I won’t be a student anymore. I will just be unemployed. I will just be there. I’ve been in this educational bubble for what seems like forever and suddenly it’s all coming to an end… I could do a Masters but I am still undecided. I have been desperately trying to find a job since coming back home to London but to no avail, so far. I had a job interview on Tuesday but I didn’t get the position which sucks real bad.

It is so hard trying to find a job – I can’t count the amount of CVs I’ve sent. It’s ridiculous. On a happier note, I have got this writing gig. Basically, I’m writing articles for this company and getting paid £8 per article. So, I won’t be completely broke this summer. Especially seeing as I have two festivals this summer – Hackney Weekend and Wireless. Lord knows I need the money for them.

Being broke is a joke. No, I did not intentionally set out for that to rhyme. Ha. In other good news, I passed all my modules for this year, so that’s a big sigh of relief. One guy on my course tweeted the other day, “Second year finished! Now time to think what I should write for my dissertation!” EH. I don’t even want to think about my dissertation – 9,000 or so words? Please! I want to enjoy my summer.

I met this guy a club during my last week at Coventry. We were both drunk as hell, so I kind of scratched it off because eh. But we’re Facebook friends now (our mutual friend is the club we were at. Such is life.) and we’ve been a texting a bit and he seems really nice. Plus it looks like he likes Doctor Who… And Firefly… Lord. Let me just sit down.

Welcome back from that little blogging break again :)! There are times when you don’t feel like blogging, but you gotta do what you gotta do! Congratulations on finishing off your second year of university! You’re getting closer to your Bachelor’s degree :)! I know there’s a lot of opportunities laid out for you out there, go and chase it… While you’re a student and you’ll be set :)! It sounds easier said than done, but I believei n you :).

At least you have a little job for writing articles! Hope you’ll have fun watching Hackney Weekend and Wireless!

Hope you’re relaxing well for your summer!

And thank you for your birthday wishes! (Insert multiple hearts here since WP is being wierd) .

I will definitely have fun at Cyber camp and I guess I’m just having thoughts about being bored there XD! Thank you for the wonderful comment 😀

    Take care(:

Ha! Chynna’s pulled! :DD You go!! Haha.

Congrats on your second year, and I’m sure you’ll get a job soon. Im still well in my education bubble, but even I manage to fret about unemployment. Just try to keep it cool. You’ll get there in the end! (not meaning to sound patronising nor hypocritical because I know I worry about it constantly and you probably know so much more about it). 🙂

And about the competitions. I’ve heard nothing back from anywhere. So for all I know, my letter could be lost in the post and my email never received. Although, I can’t say I got a quick reply from any competition in the past so I think its okay so far. I’m jealous of your article writing! Haha. But you deserve it. How did you get the ‘gig’? Entering competitions is proving a tricky business though.

    Anywhooo… Have a lovely weekend! 😀

I have times when I FEEL like blogging but just can’t be bothered so put it off until the next day. Totally understandable. 🙂
Congrats on the writing gig! Agreed, being broke is a total joke… actually more like not a joke because instead of laughing I just want to cry because I have no money ha ha.
Congrats on graduating and good luck with your third year!
Also, good luck with looking for a job – I hope that you find one soon! 🙂

I’m terrified of being unemployed when finishing college, too. I plan to become a doctor, but what if I don’t make it in medical school? Even my mom has doubts about it.

Good luck with your third year in college!
