Once again, I have dropped off the face of the blogosphere and for that I apologise. I don’t really have any excuses – I’m just really lazy. There have been times where I’ve wanted to blog but I was just like, “It’s cool, there’s always tomorrow.” So, what have I been up to since my last post?
I have officially finished my second year of university. Sh*t just got real, yo. I am going into my third and final year of university. Do you know how scary that is? VERY. Why? Because when I finish I won’t be a student anymore. I will just be unemployed. I will just be there. I’ve been in this educational bubble for what seems like forever and suddenly it’s all coming to an end… I could do a Masters but I am still undecided. I have been desperately trying to find a job since coming back home to London but to no avail, so far. I had a job interview on Tuesday but I didn’t get the position which sucks real bad.
It is so hard trying to find a job – I can’t count the amount of CVs I’ve sent. It’s ridiculous. On a happier note, I have got this writing gig. Basically, I’m writing articles for this company and getting paid £8 per article. So, I won’t be completely broke this summer. Especially seeing as I have two festivals this summer – Hackney Weekend and Wireless. Lord knows I need the money for them.
Being broke is a joke. No, I did not intentionally set out for that to rhyme. Ha. In other good news, I passed all my modules for this year, so that’s a big sigh of relief. One guy on my course tweeted the other day, “Second year finished! Now time to think what I should write for my dissertation!” EH. I don’t even want to think about my dissertation – 9,000 or so words? Please! I want to enjoy my summer.
I met this guy a club during my last week at Coventry. We were both drunk as hell, so I kind of scratched it off because eh. But we’re Facebook friends now (our mutual friend is the club we were at. Such is life.) and we’ve been a texting a bit and he seems really nice. Plus it looks like he likes Doctor Who… And Firefly… Lord. Let me just sit down.
