EDIT: If you’ve been removed off my affiliates list then you can blame yourself for not keeping in touch. Don’t say I didn’t try. Yes, I am being ruthless. So, what? 🙂
Yes, I am now a Glee fan.
My friend is crazy about the show and I wanted to see what all the fuss was about – I don’t usually watch shows that people hype about constantly but I kept seeing trailers for it on E4 and I thought, “Why not? There’s no harm in giving it a go,”. Usually when I start something I don’t finish it or I stop watching it for a while, forget where I stopped and then I’d start from the beginning again but then get bored around the same place I stopped and just give it up all together. That’s happened with Tokyo Juliet, Privileged and Autumn’s Concerto. It’s not that they’re boring – nooo, I really enjoyed TJ, Priv. and AC. I just have so many other things to do, that I can never find the time to watch the next episode. I mean I always do find pockets of time to continue watching but I can never be bothered.
To my surprise, I’m really enjoying Glee. I’m already shipping Emma and Will, Kurt is amazing and Finn looks like a ape – no offence. Glee is humorous yet serious at the same time – the singing makes me smile and I said I wouldn’t download the soundtrack but I probably am now because the songs are actually pretty good like the mashup of Halo and Walking on Sunshine? Wooo, that was pretty. I heard it before when my friend made me listen to it but I wasn’t really paying any attention. Will’s wife, I forgot her name because really she’s not interesting and I don’t like her but she made me laugh when she gave drugs to the children and even though they were over-the-counter they weren’t safe, is annoying. Especially when she said she was pregnant. I didn’t even know there was a thing called hysterical pregnancy. But, then again I’m no doctor. I’ll leave that job to Mutay.
Anyway, I’m in the middle of watching episode 7 (Throwdown). Yes, I have watched 7 episodes in since starting to watch it yesterday. It would probably be more but Megavideo has that stupid limit where you have to wait so and so minutes before you can continue. That’s why I’m stuck in the middle of episode 7. I would use Vureel but it takes ages to reload and then when it starts I always have the misfortune to reload as the opening scene starts.
The only reason I’ve been able to watch so much Glee is because I’m sick and stuck in bed. My mum is making me go to school today, though I definitely don’t want to. And even though she’s not at home, I can never be too careful. I swear that woman has eyes in the back of her head. I’ve been complaining about being sick all day yesterday on Tumblr – so if you follow me on Tumblr, sorry about that. I just hate being sick and I need somewhere to vent. I feel so useless being stuck in bed and doing nothing. The only quirks are that Mum makes some excellent chicken soup and my sister is actually nice and will get me my DVDs if I ask her. I watched The Water of Mars yesterday and I was going to continue and watch the End of Time Part 1 but I don’t want to add waterworks to my runny nose and scratchy throat.
I must admit I am feeling slightly better, Mum’s soup does wonders I tell ya, and yeah, yeah I do need to get into school because I need to get the Media coursework out of the way. I’ve sent my proposal to my teacher by email (I hate sending emails to teachers, it feels to personal D:), basically I want to research the portrayal of women in science fiction, particularly the use of the female helpers and the heroine. Which is brilliant because I can use the new version of Doctor Who as my primary text (female companions, hello) and look into Torchwood (that sexy show) as my secondary text and dip in Sarah Jane Adventures (the lead is a female, oh yes). Fabulous, don’t you think. For once I’m doing coursework that I’ll actually enjoy. Hmm.
I’m also hoping to do a TV advert for a new sci-fi show or a mockup magazine for a new sci-fi show. Problem with the advert is how I’m going to do it – what with not knowing how to do special effects. I s’pose if Doctor Who in 1963 is anything to go by I can, I mean they had like cardboard sets and stuff. Ha.
I’m going to leave off now and watch the rest of ep. 7 and then get ready for school. Ugh.
My Adipose necklace that I ordered from Etsy.com arrived yesterday. Adipose are the cutest monsters ever to be made on Doctor Who. Yes, they are from Doctor Who. You shouldn’t be surprised anymore, really.
