“Hate is a very dangerous thing and can destroy us. […] Hate never helps a situation. It merely tends to spread the poison”
This was in the newsletter from my church back in London. It basically said that hate is such a strong emotion and what is the point in hating in something? I like reading things like this from my church because it teaches you useful life lessons.
I’m not a highly religious person but I do believe in God. I also do believe in doing something that you say you do because I see a lot of people around who say they are Christians and yet never follow what they believe. It’s kind of sad to see religion used the way it is as well because over here it is really good for your child to go to a Catholic school and so, around the time that parents have to register for a Catholic school there is an influx of them suddenly go to church because they want their priest to give them reference.
I don’t believe that the church should be used in such a way – it just goes to show that that person doesn’t really believe and is just a selfish person really. I mean, if anything one could always apply to state school because there’s nothing wrong with them…
I’ve only brought this up because I went to church on Sunday. It’s a nice atmosphere in the one I go to here – it’s weird going to church without family but also a bit relaxing as well because I don’t have my sister constantly making faces at me from the altar (she’s an altar server). One lady said to me, “It’s nice seeing young people at church,” I think so too because most young people only went to church because their parents made them, so it’s nice when they actually go to church because they want to.
Anyway, how are all my readers? My week has actually been really good. I’ve been going to bed early and waking up earlier, and I just feel so much better about it. I think the stuff the doctor gave me for my nose has worked because I’m also getting much better sleep and feeling better in the mornings. It’s nice when you wake up early because you have more time to get ready and stuff.
I’ve taken to wearing jewellery everyday now because even the littlest of it makes a difference – I’ve realized how much I love wearing necklaces and earrings, as well. I bought a pack of 9 from H&M for £1.99 and there all these different ones from diamond ones to gold ones to patterned ones – they are well lush. I saw a picture of these Oreo earrings – they look good enough to eat!
Rob says I look different, so I asked him if it was good different or bad different and he just said, “Different. You look slimmer, too”. That’s a good thing, I guess. I have been eating healthier – when I want a snack I eat fruit (oranges, bananas & plums are my favourites) and I don’t eat when I’m bored because I have a tendency to do that. Fruit is well yummy, though – I don’t know why didn’t eat more of it before!
I’ve also taken to not wearing jeans everyday as I used to – I try to vary my outfits everyday; it’s actually fun choosing my outfit for the day in the morning. I’ve been wanting to get more flat shoes because I only have one pair and my other shoes are Converse or boots, haha. Also, more skirts – I love the ones in Primark but I have to wait until I either get a job or get my next loan before I go clothes shopping, again.
My package that I ordered from YesAsia arrived today. It contained Show Luo’s new album, Only for You, a fragrance diffuser and a photobook – Show is like my favourite Taiwanese artist with Rainie Yang coming a close second. I can’t wait to have a listen to his CD, I’ve listened to his single, Only You, and I thought it was really good (plus, he’s SO hot when he dances). I’m just waiting for two more packages, now. The first in my Cookyshop Mini Mate Diary – it’s going to help me be more organized and it’s just so cute I couldn’t resist. The second is the third volume of Ouran High School Host Club – I LOVE the manga. It’s pretty much the same as the anime (which I’m watching again, haha) but it’s still really good.
I have a presentation for tomorrow and Thursday. My life (cry)
