I am tired. Oh, so tired.
So, I just came in from helping at the old people’s Christmas party. Okay, that’s a lie… I came in like an hour ago but I’ve been tinkering about on the site trying to get it just the way I want. Before I go on, I’d like to point out the changes because I’m actually happy about the way things turned out,
- I’ve a Mood thing. I was browsing plugins and stumbled upon this handy little creation. And who’d have known I’d have a set of Doctor Who pictures of different moods? Very noice.
- Also a avatar thing. Reminds me of my old Livejournal blog. Although, let’s not go there because that blog is atrocious. :/
- NEW LAYOUT!
I’ve been on this Doctor Who high for about a week now. I’ve been watching one episode everyday, two if I can fit it in. But I promise to stop right there because I know me talking about Who all the time is tedious.
So, where was I? Ah yes! This Christmas Party… it was alright. I guess. I mean it was old people, some of them were so adorable. Old people make me laugh. Not in a horrible way, don’t worry but in an “Awww, that’ll be me someday” sort of way. There was one lady who got up and started dancing by herself, haa. And the musician dedicated a song to the girls who were helping out. All the Year 12s got up and started dancing to Amy Winehouse’s “Valerie” (Personally, I like the original better by The Zutons), I was like, “Ooooh, boy.” My friend nicked a bottle of wine. Is that something I should be disclosing on my blog? Ah, well. I highly doubt any of the other people helping out at the party read this anyway. I also overdone it on the turkey. My other friend and I just got a plate of turkey and gravy and sat in the corner eating after we served the old people. Turkey is dry. Eish.
I feel like I’ve done my good deed of the week. Makes me feel very happy.
More happy news; I’ve sent of my UCAS. *pauses to hear everyone throwing celebrations* I’m just glad I’ve got it over and done with. But then again, this next part is mildly scary because I have to wait and I hate waiting. I’ve received my Welcome Letter from UCAS and an email. I’ve also received a conditional offer from Bedfordshire: 200 tariff points including GCE/VCE A level CC. I’ll have go over how many 200 tariff points is but I’m pretty sure I could get that. My other 3 choices haven’t gotten back to me yet but I’m pretty optimistic. Well, I have to be otherwise I ain’t going anywhere.
Also, it’s Parents Evening on Thursday. To be honest, I’ve been pretty good this year – attending lessons and whatnot and I’ve only had one hiccup (that argument with my English teacher) but other that than I don’t see any reason for me to get a good report. I shouldn’t speak too soon though. I’ll shush.
I’m feeling really happy right now. I’ve just realised. Things are looking up and I don’t feel like I want to break down because I feel like I’m carrying the weight of the world on my shoulders. I feel I’ve been relieved of a little pressure. And I’m really looking forward to Christmas – I have a Toy Story 3 Advent Calendar (Raise your hands if you’re excited for Toy Story!) and also the Doctor Who special “The End of Time Part 1” is airing on Christmas Day with the second part on New Years Day. I’m excited but slightly dreading it because it’ll be David’s last episodes. I’m also really hoping I get the laptop that my Lolo’s promised he’d get me. I have to choose one first. Ha. I’ve been pining for a new laptop for AGES. So, it would be understandable that I’m excited. 🙂
I think everyone should listen to Chameleon Circuit. And watch littleradge on YouTube and look at his striking resemblance to David Tennant. Too bad he has a girlfriend and that he lives all the way in Scotland. I KNOW RIGHT?! He’s Scottish and looks like David Tennant (who is also Scottish). Eish.
So, have you hugged your Time Lord today?
