Life

Learn to enjoy every minute of your life. Be happy now. Don’t wait for something outside of yourself to make you happy in the future. Think how really precious is the time you have to spend, whether it’s at work or with your family. Every minute should be enjoyed and savored. ~ Earl Nightingale

Happy July everybody!

This past week has been a weird one for me. I don’t know but it definitely wasn’t my week, so here’s to hoping that this week is better. I do have Wireless on Saturday, Drake is headlining, so hopefully that should be good. I am quite looking forward to it.

Went back to Coventry on Monday to get some more of my stuff and honestly I kind of wish I didn’t go back because that’s when all this bad shit started happening to me. I locked myself out of my room that night and had to go meet a friend. So, for about half an hour I was standing outside my door wondering what the hell I was supposed to do. I got one of my housemates to phone our landlady and she was like, “It’ll cost £65 to open your door,”. Wth, man?! I haven’t lost my keys or anything and all you’re doing is opening my door! Ugh. So, I left it and went to go meet my friend. Felt weird leaving the house with no phone and stuff but luckily Coventry is pretty small so I found her quickly. Went for a couple of drinks and then I went back home. Guess what I did?

I busted down my door. I’m sorry but there is no way I am paying £65 just to open my door when I still have my keys. That is a ridiculous amount to pay. The lock’s fine as well just a bit loose – all I have to do it screw back in place. Voila. Stressed me out a lot, though.

I had a film night with that guy I met at the club on Wednesday. His name is Ross. He’s really sweet and we share a lot of interests which is pretty cool. We ended up watching Captain America and Dr. Horrible’s Sing-a-long Blog. We were singing along to all the songs in that as well, so funny. He was wearing a Firefly t-shirt because I suggested we watch Serenity. I was like, “Who are you and where have you been all my life?” There’s a line that Wash says in the film and we were both just sobbing (not literally). He’s nice but I think it’ll just be a friend thing. In all honesty, I’m not really looking for anything. I’ve had enough of guys because they just cause more stress than necessary.

Thursday, I got caught in torrential downpour. As I was leaving Ross’ I was like, “Is it raining?” and he was like, “No… not yet.” I take 10 steps and I got DRENCHED. My jeans were like falling down because they were so soaked with rain water. Ridiculous.

Saturday morning I woke up with a semi swollen face – isn’t that something? It was my hayfever flaring up again which sucks major balls. I only ever get a swollen face once in a blue moon, so it felt fucking weird and aheaoka;lkfdjsguhwtpq[pfksv;dkvs;v. My face looked indescribably ugly. I was so upset. Plus the fact that I’d left my shampoo and conditioner at home, my hair was greasy. Coventry saps the life energy out of me.

Yesterday, my grandma and my mum found out about my tattoo. I didn’t intentionally mean to keep it a secret, I was just waiting for the right moment. Well, apparently my grandma highly disapproves of tattoos and said they’re, “dirty and for unintelligent people”. Wow, thanks grandma – way to make me feel better about myself. Gosh. I really want to get another tattoo just out of spite. Sigh.

And I still haven’t gotten a job.

Hopefully I’m getting paid by the end of this week for my articles, though. Fingers crossed.

This week has been good, good, good despite having no job, job, job. Sad times. It seems that every corner I turn employers are just rejecting my applications left, right and centre. Even though I don’t have a job, it’s cool because this week has been like amazing.

Saw some old friends on Wednesday and we went shopping where I proceeded to spend money that I didn’t have but… YOLO. They went off to Kavos View Post

Once again, I have dropped off the face of the blogosphere and for that I apologise. I don’t really have any excuses – I’m just really lazy. There have been times where I’ve wanted to blog but I was just like, “It’s cool, there’s always tomorrow.” So, what have I been up to since my last post?

I have officially finished my second year of university. Sh*t just got real, yo. I am going into my third and final year of university. Do you know how scary that is? VERY. Why? Because when I finish I won’t be a student anymore. I will just be unemployed. I will just be there. View Post

So, this week as been an interesting one. Let me just quickly break it down for you:

  1. I got a tattoo

Okay, so it is just one interesting thing that happened but it happened none the last and you’re now all thinking, ‘OH MY GOSH. SHE GOT A TATTOO.’ Trust me… I’m still a bit like that too. Not as much as Mutay though who, when she found out, proceeded to hyperventilate and lie down on the floor of her bedroom.  View Post
