Excuse me whilst I collapse into a pile of scared and excited bones, but I’m going to China in 6 days. I can remember when I was telling everyone in February that I had already been excepted onto the exchange program and that was months ago and now it’s come down to me counting down the days. Mind equals blown – Why must time fly so quick? I am scared shitless. I know that I will have the most amazing time in the world there and that’s what everyone’s telling me as well but I can’t help but be scared especially as I’m going to be so far away from Rob, my family and friends.
I recently celebrated my 19th birthday on August 21st. I feel so old, yet I still look about 14 years old. At least I’ll still look young when I’m old, that’s something to look forward. I mean my mother is 54, and she looks like she’s 20 years younger than that. Gotta give her props. We went to TGI Fridays; my mum, dad, Donna, Lola, Mutay and Mutay’s cousin, Debra. TGI Fridays food is to die for. Well, not literally. I love their steak, though, with Jack Daniel’s whiskey. Mutay and I shared this Oreo milkshake which had Baileys in it and it was SO nice. The staff of TGIs also made me stand up on my chair in the middle of the restaurant and practically shouted, “Everybody, listen up! It’s Chynna’s 19th birthday!” and then they started singing their birthday song and they gave me a slice of cake with a candle in it and ‘Happy B-Day’ written in icing next to it. It was a marvellous day…
Speaking of birthdays, it’s Mutay’s tomorrow. We’re going shopping and I’m going to buy her the new Lil Wayne CD she wants. I got £50 off my Lola and a £10 voucher from LoveFilm, so I’m going to spend that tomorrow. I love shopping but I wish I was working, so I’m guaranteed to have a steady income. So far, money is going out but not coming in. Le sigh.
I took Donna to Thorpe Park last Wednesday which was pretty good. Mutay and Debra came along as well. It was my birthday present to her. I’m kind of sad that I won’t be here for her birthday cause I’ll be in China by then (4th September) but it can’t be helped, I guess. The weather was bipolar that day, though, which was a bit annoying. One minute it’s pouring with rain and then the sun decides to come out. It got hotter as the afternoon went along, so we managed to go on two water rides – Storm Rage and Tidal Wave. Tidal Wave gets you soaked.
There are so many birthdays this August – mine, Mutay’s, Sham’s, Rob’s and a couple of other people. I guess August is the awesome month. Don’t lie, you know it too. I went out clubbing last night with my friends to celebrate one of their birthdays. It was nice catching up with people I haven’t seen in ages because of priorities like university and the fact that when I come home for breaks, I usually spend it all with my family. I’m not gonna lie, I am an embarrassing yet funny drunk — you’d love to have me on a night out. I literally go around making friends with everybody — like, I hugged a random man in KFC. Say nada. I made a new friend, my friend’s boyfriend actually, and he was so nice! I’m really happy for them, and still cannot get over how cute they are. My friend gave us all a lift home and we were in the car and he was explaining to me how didn’t love Charmaine, he was in love with Charmaine. I was like, ‘Let me just melt in the corner, now’. Also, we’re kind of name buddies cause his name is Ashley and my middle name is Ashley. Don’t be jealous.
If you follow me on my personal Twitter (@ChynnaAshley) you won’t really find me there anymore. I’m usually found lurking on my other account (@_lunalongbottom) where I have actually made the most amazing friends in the past month. I looooove them, even though I’ve only known them for a short amount of time. The Harry Potter fandom, which are the majority of accounts I follow, are fucking amazing. I remember on my birthday I got so many birthday messages and they helped me retweet and get Evanna Lynch (Luna Lovegood for all you HP fans) to tweet me, Happy Birthday. YES, SHE TWEETED ME HAPPY BIRTHDAY. When I saw the tweet, I actually screamed and started rolling on the floor. Forreal. That was all thanks to the people on Twitter. Ah, Twitter is full of amazing people. Especially you, Shanine Morris. Love you, girl.
In other news, I FINALLY got my Pottermore email. I got the house I wanted, Slytherin. I love Pottermore so far, it’s a shame that Book 2 isn’t up already, so in the mean time I’m just sitting around brewing potions and practicing spells. The graphics on it are amazing — I’ll zip up now, because I don’t want to spoil it for anybody but Slytherin are in second place, Ravenclaw leading, Gryffindor in third place and Hufflepuff trailing in last place.
6 DAYS GUYS.
