*Congratulations to Meaghan who won my book giveaway!*
This post is later than I planned but better late than never. I always plan to blog like every 3 days but this week I’ve been really busy. No, I haven’t been procrastinating, despite the fact that if you look at my GetGlue profile you’ll see that I have been watching multiple episodes of Castle. I’ve actually been revising.
Revising isn’t something I’ve done in a while. The last time I remember revising was back in 2010 for my A-Levels. My course doesn’t have exams, so the only time I came to close to kind of revising was for my Mandarin exam which I ended up not taking because I had to pay for the test. >_<
Basically, I took my theory test for car driving this morning and you’ll be pleased to know I passed. You know when you have a sick feeling in your stomach before a test – yeah, I had that threefold because it’s been ages seen I had a test. It kind of helped that I got to know my result straight after I took the test, so I didn’t have to wait at home agonising. The test itself was actually pretty easy – well, the theory part. There are two parts to the test: the theory part, where you answer multiple choice questions about rules of the road, signs, car safety, etc. and there’s the hazard perception part where you are shown a video and you have to click when you seen oncoming hazards on the road.
I practically aced the theory part, only getting one question wrong. Considering the amount of time I spent pouring over those damn theory test books, I’m not surprised. Plus I had this theory test app on my phone, so I basically spent all week on my phone going over questions. I don’t think I’ve ever revised so hard for a test. I think partly because my mum paid for the test, so I had incentive to pass because if I failed then I’d have to retake thus spending more money and my mum has already put so much toward me learning to drive. The hazard perception section was okay but I could have done better. Either way, I still passed so all is good and I now have 2 years from today to pass my practical test. Fingers crossed.
I have basically shut myself off from the outside for the whole week because of this revision, though. I’ve hardly been out the house unless it was to go to the shop or something. Since I’ve passed and everything, I’ll definitely be trying to go out more next week. I need to get out of this damn house. My dad is driving me crazy always watching what I’m doing. Sigh. Mutay’s working most of next week, I think, so I’ll have to find something to do. I don’t really have any close friends who I can just call up and be like, “Hey, get your booty to the cinema – we’re gonna watch Ted,” or “Shopping. Now.” Most of them are working or just feel the need to ignore me. That’s cool, I’m pretty ignorable. Ha.
In other news, congratulations to all the people who passed their A-Levels and got into the university of their choice. Exciting times ahead for you! (Despite me complaining about uni most of the time)
It’s my birthday next week, Tuesday. 10+10.
