Back to reality.

Christmas in the Philippines is much like any other day. Except there’s a lot of food and a ton of family come rolling into your house every hour. My first Christmas in the Philippines was fun, to say the least – it was very noisy, if you want me to say more about it. Other than that, it was pretty awesome. Seriously, though – it was weird going shopping on Christmas Day seeing as in the UK all the shops are usually closed (except for those corner shops where the owner doesn’t celebrate Christmas…). The shopping mall was pretty packed, though.

But here I am, back in the UK. I was really sad to leave the Philippines because I’m not sure when I’ll see my family again. Sure, there’s Facebook and Skype but it’s not the same as seeing them in the flesh. My holiday was amazing! From going to the beach to my cousin’s wedding to going shopping and finding cheap buys, it just makes me want to go back. Plus, it’s pretty cold here in the UK so I wouldn’t mind some of that heat again.

My cousin’s wedding was beautiful, I was crying in the pews whilst they were saying their vows. Only like a few tears because I didn’t want to ruin my make-up (shock, horror! Chynna was wearing make-up. Only because I had to. Bleh). I can’t believe my cousin is all grown up and married now! He’s 29 but he totally looks the same as he did when he 19/20. Plus he’s had the same haircut for about 20 years, haha. But his bride, Ate Irish, is so cute and pretty and I feel like a troll when I stand next to her. She’s so nice, though! And petite – I’m taller than her, which I didn’t think possible because I’m pretty tiny.

Back to reality, now though with uni throwing dissertation deadlines at me and presentations and 1,000 word essays. Isn’t life fun? Bring me back to my holiday *sob*.

I’m glad that you had a great time visiting family in the Philippines. I understand that about not being able to see family again. I went through the same thing when I was living so far away.

anyhow hope you have a great 2013!

I live in Texas, and some stores are open on Christmas day, but not many of them. Some restaurants are as well, haha. Usually all of the stores are open and packed after Christmas day, though! :p

As for the wedding + the video, you’re right — she’s very pretty! Did you make the video yourself? Your shots, angles and editing skills are amazing, and I’m jealous.
