An evening without the internet

Introducing Clairessa. She’s nice, you’ll like her. Bye now *runs away*

Time falls and falls through endless space, to when we are.

New Year from the book Rapture by Carol Ann Duffy

Just quick updates;

1. Friday evening I had no internet. It was like Hell on Earth. No, I kid but I felt like a part of me was missing. I managed to read a bit more of my book, The 19th Wife but that’s about it because I was feeling spectacularly lazy.

2. Saturday and Sunday we had power cuts at work. Hurray? Eh, no. Sitting in the dark for three hours is nothing to hurray about. Plus the heaters had gone too, so we were freezing our arses off. By the time the power had come on, we were just getting ready to leave but our boss made us stay and then just as the heaters were warming up the power went out. Maybe a little hurray because we got to go home early. Same on Sunday as well.

3. I finished my coursework! This huge weight has lifted off my shoulders. I only have to do my A2 coursework for English and Media now – and Media will be fun as I’m hopefully going to be making a TV trailer for a new sci-fi show. Fun stuff.

4. Coventry University rearranged my interview because of the weather. One hand, I’m slightly relieved because I don’t think I’m prepared enough for this interview, on the other hand one is never really prepared enough and now I have to wait even longer for my interview (17th Feb.) and I just wanted to get it over and done with.

SEE ALSO:  No, see - it doesn't work like that.

5. I’m really happy to have new people visit my blog. Hello new people *waves*

6. I orderedΒ Doctor Who: The Complete Specials Box Set. Excuse the blogs after it arrives – that will be my fangirl calling. Power to the David Tennant/Doctor Who fangirl.

7. I saw Mutay today. Huzzah! How we are easily amused by CBBC (: Gotta love daytime TV.

Chynna x

1.) You weren’t kidding. No internet is painful. Excruciating. Now I know why everyone was so miserable back then – no internet lol!

2.) Ah, your boss is a lame! lol. But I guess it is their job to be a lame and maximize profit or whatever. What do you do?

3.) Should be doing that now lol…

4.) And good luck. I am not good with ppl so I’m glad I didn’t have to do an interview to get into college. Now I just have to work on job interviews hehe.

    1. Life without internet sucks, because at my house it’s boring.

    2. I couldn’t even imagine how cold you guys were without the heater. *brrr*

    3. You must be a good student, no one finishes their coursework in January.

    4. This must be a high tech University. I never know you had to take an interview.

    5. Hello new people.

    6. “Excuse the blogs after it arrives – that will be my fangirl calling”. LMBO!!! girl you are hilarious.

    7. Hey Mutay.

Ah! no Internet?!?! Just the thought of it gives me the heebie-jeebies! I am one of the “new” people that came across your blog. Cool site, keep it up! πŸ™‚

  5. January 14, 2010 / 7:18 pm

Yeah, it’s the actually always being on your own bit that worries me slightly, hopefully I’ll have a roommate but, what if I dont? And paying the bills! I bet I’d forget because I’m like that, and I’m worried about getting a job because I don’t think I’d ever get one. Haha, I worry too much! And I’ll miss my mums cooking too, haha.

I really need to order it! My mum said she’d buy it for me, so she better stick to her promise, haha! I want it so bad! Part of me wants to watch the last episode again, because I loved DTs performance and it was so amazing, but I don’t want to cry again, and I know I will! I’ll watch it a million times, and I will still cry when I see it πŸ™ lol

    1. I hate being without my laptop! I know it sounds really sad, but I spend so much time on the blasted thing haha
    2. Oh my days, I cant imagine how cold you must have been, sat in the dark! Where do you work?
    3. Aaah! I need to get my coursework finished, but the internet keeps distracting me D: Haha
    4. Good luck with your interview! I know it’s ages away, but really good luck! πŸ˜€
    5. New people <3 I don't get many of them, haha x)
    7. I love CBBC, it's so good!

  6. January 15, 2010 / 11:43 am

when we have no internet at home, i felt so angry and pissed off and i just kept walking around the house because i have nothing to do… haha πŸ˜€

congrats that u finished ur coursework!!! πŸ˜€

congrats also that new people are visiting ur blog! πŸ˜€

btw… love ur layout!!! πŸ˜€ so unique!!

  7. January 16, 2010 / 7:44 am

Eck, I’d much rather get the interview over with! Same thing with tests, appointments, etc.

The power outage sounds so bitter sweet. Especially since they made you sit in the cold… that’s icky!

  8. January 16, 2010 / 9:18 pm

Ohhhhhh, interviews scare me. I’ve never actually had one but they scare me. xDDDD The idea of being interogated and the need to come up with good answers is nerve wracking.

HAHAHAHA, okay that little video clip in your sidebar that says on the header. Yeah, that makes me laugh. You and doctor who. Hahaha, (:

And new people visiting your blog? I love it when that happens, but it’s not frequent πŸ˜›

    I got your question. xDDDDDDD

Well, there’s the stereotypical Asian handwriting. xP I’m not really sure how to describe it though πŸ˜›

I know, I hate those kind of affiliates. But I LOVE affiliates like you who make an effort to keep in touch (:

In a few years, I’ll be saying that “This short girl is hopefully going to uni this year” Yeah, few more years for me.

  9. January 17, 2010 / 3:27 am

The internet AND the power failed??? Sheesh… someone really wanted you to do some reading. haha Congrats on getting all that schoolwork and reading done.

  10. January 17, 2010 / 3:19 pm

    I don’t know.
    But you should enter.

  11. January 17, 2010 / 3:26 pm

    lol!!!!! your animated picture thing.
Does this means that your Dr. who stuff have arrived?

  12. January 17, 2010 / 4:00 pm

I remember when I use to go crazy when I couldn’t use the internet. I felt like a huge part of me was missing and I was just dying or something. It’s a pitiful shame how we let such things become such a huge part of our lives.

I hate it when the power goes out. Especially in the summer. Like a year ago a hurricane hit and we were out of power for like 2 weeks and it was the worst at night, mosquitoes biting and it was all hot and sticky, just eck!

    Congrats on completing your coursework.

YESSS I watched Doctor Who. It was some old episode, I think it was called Evolution of the Daleks…I found it to be VERY interesting but my annoying sister keep bothering me so I couldn’t get into it like I wanted to. Gah, it was on yesterday but the stupid football game was on so boys were hogging the TV. I’m going to watch another episode soon though XD

LOL at you animation, obsessed I tell you !
