These past 3 days have been exactly what I needed. Stress of uni, what with dissertation and essays, etc. has been an anchor on the fun that I want to have – but this holiday has been amazing so far.
So, we arrived in the Philippines around 11PM on December 16th and it was the longest flight in the world (well, I haven’t been to Australia, so…). It was about 11 hours to get to South Korea and then we had a 3 hour layover. Incheon Airport is so nice though, and there is so much merchandise for kdramas. I definitely know what to get one of my friends for Christmas 😀
Then another 3 and a half hour flight to Ninoy Aquino International Airport, Manila. The heat that hit me as soon as we stepped of the plane was totally unexpected and unnecessary, and the airport was chaos but you know what? I was so glad that it was the start of my holiday.
So far, we’ve been bowling with my cousins, been to the Mall of Asia, eaten KFC and McDo (which, FYI, tastes so much better here – I don’t know), been to TriNoma (another massive shopping mall) and gone swimming. I’ve been on a zipline and rode on a segway. Ah, what fun I’ve been having.
Speaking of swimming, basically I swam to the centre of the swimming pool with my sister on my back and she was holding onto me and there was no way I could have let her go. Yet… she got scared because it got deeper and she panicked and kept pushing my head down to keep herself and I couldn’t breathe. Scariest moment of my life. Eventually a lifeguard threw a float out to us and I managed to grab onto it. But dude… whew.
We also went to the aquariam 🙂
